On RS-232 DBBs, an additional 2-position switchbank, labeled S2, allows you to define
the functions of certain pins on the DTE connector. The settings and respective functions
for the two switches are as follows:
• Switch 1 - On: Pin 21 = Remote Digital Loop (input)
• Switch 1 - Off: Pin 21 = Signal Quality (output)
• Switch 2 - On: Pin 23 = Data Rate Select (input)
• Switch 2 - Off: Pin 23 = Data Rate Indicator (output)
